About Us

The Little Bead Shop is located in Bruntsfield, one of Edinburgh's most beautiful and desirable areas. You'll find us at number 96 Brunstfield Place, nestling amongst exclusive boutiques, gift shops, cafes, Bistros and Bars.

Inside our shop you will find a fresh and constantly changing selection of glass beads as well as a huge range of Swarovski crystal, Toho seed beads, Art Clay Silver, Faceted Czech Beads, Fresh Water Pearls and more! We also have a wide range of tools and findings to choose from.

The Little Bead Shop really is more than just a shop - we are a hive of activity. You are welcome to call by anytime and use our jewellery making facilities and tools completing your latest design at our "beading table". We have a large range of beading books and magazines available for you to look at if you need some inspiration.The Little Bead Shop Owner Gil Baird is always on hand should you need any help to finish off your jewellery.

In addition to the bustling atmosphere on the shop floor work is often underway downstairs in our purpose built Lampwork Studio and Classroom. Our resident Lampwork Artist Emma is frequently to be found downstairs creating new beady works of art and her weekly Open Studios offer you the opportunity to see the magic take place. You can find up to date information regarding these in our scrolling news section to the right.

On top of all of this we offer unique parties, a variety of courses and a repair/restringing service.

*Lampwork Open Studio Day - 27th November*

Open Studio days are proving to be popular and the next one will be held on Thursday the 27th of November. From 2 - 4 pm you are welcome into the Studio to watch as Emma melts glass and makes beautiful glass beads at her torch.
